Licensed in Pennsylvania and New York, I earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1990. I have been in private practice in the Abington area since 1992, and have also held full and part-time teaching positions at area universities. I am trained in Interpersonal Therapy (learning to improve relationships through recognizing and changing unsatisfying patterns), and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (which strives to identify and change thoughts that affect how we act and feel).

Through my role as professor, I have researched a range of topics related to therapy and well-being. This includes presentations and publications on understanding what makes therapy effective, body image and weight loss, sport psychology, and job burnout. Keeping current on developments in these areas helps inform the work I do as a therapist.
